Figures which call for comment are those of 73 deaths
from Cancer, malignant disease, during the year, compared
with 56 during 1920.
Also the 18 deaths from Diarrhœa, etc. (under 2 years)
against 8 during 1920, were probably due to the hot, dry
summer.
The Infant Mortality rate of 60 compares favourably
with those of England and Wales, 83; smaller towns, 84,
and London, 80.
