For the district proper, apart from institutions in the
district receiving non-residents, the death-rate for the past
year was 9.4, or corrected for sex and age the rate is 10.1
per thousand of the population.
As will be seen from the diagram on the opposite page,
this rate is higher than for 1910. The number of deaths
