Two of these cases occurred at the Union Infirmary and all
were removed to hospital. Only one case proved fatal.
ERYSIPELAS.
Forty cases of this disease were notified, of whom 14 were
institution cases. Four cases (among non-residents in institutions
in the district) proved fatal.
PREVALENCE OF AND CONTROL OYER TUBERCULOSIS.
Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
The number of cases notified during the year was 111, the age
and ward distribution being set out in Table II. at the end of
the report.

The ratios of notifications to deaths were as follows:—

During the year investigation was made, as required by the
Tuberculosis Regulations, into the cases notified and re-visits were
made into cases notified in previous years. The following statement
