Canal Boats Acts, 1877 and 1884.
Sir,
In accordance with Section 3 of the Canal Boats Act,
1884, I beg herewith to present the Annual Report for the
year ending December 31st, 1914, as to the execution of the
Canal Boats Acts, 1877 and 1884, and of the Regulations
made thereunder, within the Urban District of Heston and
Isleworth, Middlesex.
Messrs. W. E. Balchin and L. Marsden have continued
to act as Canal Boat Inspectors, and during the year Mr.
R. H. Butler has also been appointed.
78 inspections were made of 64 boats. On 8 of these
boats 6 infringements of the Acts and Regulations were
found, as under :—
