Of the one hundred and seven deaths recorded, fourteen
occurred in infants under one year of age, and fifty-one in persons
over sixty-five years of age.
There were 10 inquests held during the year. The verdicts
were returned as follows :—
Natural causes 5
Accidents 4
Drowning 1

During the year there were three deaths due to Zymotic
diseases, viz.:—
Epidemic diarrhoea 2
Measles 1

being an annual death rate of 0.3 per thousand.
