of Health to this District 011 August 2nd, 1866. He held
numerous other Public Appointments, among which may
be mentioned Medical Officer of Health to the neighbouring
District of Teddington and District Medical Officer
and Public Vaccinator for Hampton Wick.
Owing to ill-health he resigned his Public Appointments
in the year 1908, and soon afterwards entirely
relinquished his private practice. During his long tenure
of office, very great improvements were carried out in the
sanitary condition of this District. He took a prominent
part in effecting these changes, and lived to see the
benefits which resulted therefrom.
