known as "Inward Transfers," and the births subtracted
from that total are known as "Outward Transfers." So
that now, children born in Public Institutions are
credited to the district where the parent is resident. One
Inward Transfer has been recorded for the year for this
District. No Outward Transfer has been recorded, as
there are no Public Institutions situated in this District.
The following Table gives the details of the Births:
Registered in the District. | Inward Transfers. | Total. | |||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Males. | Females | Males. | Females | ||
Legitimate | 21 | 8 | - | - | 29 |
Illegitimate | - | 1 | — | 1 | 2 |
Total | 21 | 9 | 0 | 1 | 31 |
The Birth Rate is now calculated on the nett number
of Births. This amounts to 31, making a Birth Rate of
12.83. This is the lowest Birth Rate ever recorded for
this District, and in spite of the fact that in previous
years these rates have never been corrected by the addition
of transferred births.
The Birth Rates for various localities are set out in the following table: —
