Water Supply.
The whole of this district is supplied on the constantservice
system from the mains of the Metropolitan Water
Board; and the supply has been maintained at good
pressure notwithstanding the drought of last summer.
The water has been at all times clear and bright, and
is well filtered.
The Board draw a considerable proportion of their
supply from the River Thames at Hampton, and have
several large pumping stations here; while a very large
area is covered by their storage reservoirs and filter beds.
