NOTIFIABLE INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
2,173 cases of Infectious Disease were notified during the
year.
Small Pox.
Three cases of this disease occurred, but all contacts were
from one case. No death occurred.
Scarlet Fever.
272 cases of this disease were notified during the year as
against 341 in 1917.
Two deaths occurred from the disease.
237 cases were removed to the Isolation Hospital.
Diphtheria.
273 cases of this disease were notified, with 18 deaths.
279 cases were notified in 1917, with 20 deaths.
251 cases were removed to the Isolation Hospital.
Enteric Fever.
Two cases of Enteric (Typhoid) Fever were notified, with 2
deaths.
Erysipelas.
52 cases of Erysipelas were notified as against GG cases in
1917.
There was 1 death.
