Defective Clothing and Boots.
Of the children with defective boots the percentage was much the same as in 1912.
Boys. | Girls. | |
---|---|---|
Percentages with Defective Clothing | 0.35 | 0.21 |
Percentages with Defective Boots | 3.3 | 2.6 |
Nutrition.
168 boys and 130 girls (percentages of 6.5 and 5.5 respectively)
were under normal nutrition, whilst 15 boys and 8 girls
(percentages of 0.59 and 0.34 respectively) were badly nourished.
These figures are lower than the corresponding ones for
1912. Again, the figures are not strictly comparable, as many of
the estimations were made by a different observer in 1913, and, as
is well known, each Medical Officer is guided by his own
individual experience of children.
