CORRECTED DEATH-RATE.
Before any comparison can be made between various
towns, correction must be made for varying age and sex distribution.
The age and sex distribution influences the death-rate in
East Ham on account of an excess of young people. The
corrected death-rate for last year is equal to 9.0 per 1,000 of
population.
