Method of Inspection.β€”In last year's report, the method to
be adopted was fully described, there is therefore no occasion
to repeat all the details. Briefly the procedure is as follows:β€”
1. The parents are notified and invited to be present at
the inspection.
2. The Teachers record the child's attendance and their
opinion concerning its mental capacity, an 1 also test the
vision of the older boys and girls with test types.
3. The Nurse weighs and measures the children, and
notes the condition of the head.
4. To save time the above details are entered on the Inspection
cards by the clerk, so as to be ready for the doctor
when he attends to conduct the inspection.
The schedule of Inspection is practically that suggested by
the Board of Education, although the order and arrangement
have been varied somewhat. Cards of two colours are used,
buff for boys and green for girls.
A copy of the cards is reproduced here:β€”
