Sanitary Inspectors' Conference.—The Chairman of the
Public Health Committee with myself attended the Annual
Conference of the Sanitary Inspectors' Association held in
Glasgow from June 28th to July 3rd. The occasion offered many
opportunities for obtaining information valuable in the discharge
of one's duties. A special report was presented to the Public
Health Committee, containing a summary of the papers read
together with an account of the visits made to various works
of Sanitary interest. The subjects that came before the conference
were comprehensive in character and included every
aspect of practical sanitary administration. At the close of
the conference all those who had devoted several days to its
work felt that the time had been profitably spent. Great praise
is due to the Glasgow Corporation (whose guests we were) for
their most hospitable reception and to the (joint) Conference
Committee who organised the proceedings.
