In connection with children 7 years of age the total
number examined was small, therefore too much reliance must
not be placed on the above averages. Children 8 years of age
were only systematically examined in three schools, viz. :—
Hartley Avenue, Kensington Avenue, and Shaftesbury Road.
These averages are therefore based on a fair number of children.
In other schools, as the numbers at this age were few, the
statistics are therefore less trustworthy.
DISEASES AND DEFECTS.
The total number of diseases and defects found in the whole
of the children examined, and also the diseases and detects
found in the children of each school are given in the following
tables :—
1. Total Diseases and Defects in all Children
examined.
2. Diseases and Defects in Children of each School.
