It will be noticed in connection with the height ot
East Ham children that the boys of 13 and the girls ot 5
and 13 years of age slightly exceed the standard of the
Anthropological Society, at all other ages they are either about
the standard or below it.
With respect to the weight of the children in the Borough
it will be seen that this is less satisfactory; at every age period,
and in both sexes, the average weights are below those of the
standard, in some cases being very much below.
The average height and weight of the children examined
in each school at each age period are shown in the following
tables. For comparison the averages for the total number
examined in the Borough are also given. To facilitate reference
type of rather larger size has been used where the averages
of each School are under the averages of the Borough.
