COST OF NOTIFICATION OF DISEASES.
£157 have been paid to medical practitioners for notification of
infectious diseases in compliance with the provisions of the
Infectious Disease (Notification) Act, 1889.
AMBULANCES.
The Council possess two excellent up.to.date Brougham
Ambulances, which during the year have been used for the
removal of 607 cases of Infectious Diseases to hospital.
PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
The Sanitary Staff consists of a Medical Officer of Health,
Deputy Medical Officer of Health, Chief Sanitary Inspector,
three Inspectors, Clerk, two Junior Clerks, Dust Inspector,
Disinfector, Ambulance Coachman, and Assistant.
There is, in addition, a staff of 40 at the Hospital and
Convalescent Home combined, and eight Laundresses.
