There were 92 cases of Typhoid Fever reported, which resulted
in 16 fatal cases, as against 79 reported cases and 10 deaths for
1898. The majority of the cases were of a mild type; hence the
small number of deaths (16) in proportion to the number of cases
(92), 25 cases were removed to Hospital.
In every case the residence of the patient was examined as to

as to the food and milk supply. The sum of £6 17s. was paid as
compensation for bedding destroyed after this disease.
