Inspector of Nuisances Annual Report.
To the Chairman and Members of the East Ham District Council.
Gentlemen,
I herewith beg to place before you my Fourth Annual Report
of the work accomplished by the Sanitary Inspectors during the
year ending 31st December, 1898.
Inspection of the District and Removal of Nuisances.
In compliance with complaints lodged, notifications of Infectious
Diseases received, house-to-house inspections, &c., 3,751
primary inspections were made in the District, as compared with
2,349 for the year ending 31st December, 1897. The increase of
1,402 is caused by the appointment in January, 1898, of an additional
Assistant Inspector.
Of the 3,751 inspections:
755 were made in the Manor Park Ward.
942 „ „ Plashet Ward.
1,469 „ „ Central Ward.
585 „ „ Beckton and North Woolwich Ward.
