Disinfection.
The practice of the Council to immediately disinfect the
rooms in which cases of dangerous infectious disease have
occurred, has been adhered to throughout the year, the work being
carried out under my personal supervision. Disinfection has been
carried out after the following notified cases:—
Scarlet Fever 17
Diphtheria 17
Tuberculosis 1
The disinfection is done immediately a patient is removed to
Hospital, or in the case of those isolated at home, on receipt of a
certificate from the medical attendant that the patient has

disinfected at the request of residents after non-notifiable diseases,
including tuberculosis and cancer. This work is done at the
expense of the Council, in accordance with their resolution to
disinfect free of charge, after all cases of infectious disease, when
so requested.
