Public Sanitation. The work demanded is so
intimately mixed up with the duties carried out
by every Sanitary Authority that there can be no
doubt that the work of School Inspection should
be entrusted to the Medical Officers of Health in
their respective Districts. They are of necessity
intimately acquainted with the health requirements
of their Districts, and are best qualified to watch
over the health of the children with whom they are
more or less in daily contact.
