Public Health Department,
Town Hall, Chiswick, W.
January, 1911.
To the Chairman and Members of the Urban District
Council of Chiswick
Mr. Chairman and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to submit to you, pursuant to the
recent Order and Circular of the Local Government
Board with respect to the duties of Sanitary Officers,
my Nineteenth Annual Report dealing with the work
performed by the sanitary staff during the year 1910
in accordance with the requirements of the several
Acts which affect the Public Health Department.
Statistical information is also presented herewith,
more particularly with regard to the general and
house-to-house inspection of the district.
The Circular of the Local Government Board,
issued with the Sanitary Officers (outside London)
Order, 1910, states that, "By Sub-Clause 16 the
Inspector of Nuisances is to make an Annual Report
to the Council on the work performed by him during
the year," and I therefore propose, as in previous
reports, to give a general account of my duties,
performed under the general supervision of the Medical
Officer of Health, in connection with:—
(a) General and Systematic Inspection of the
District.
(b) The Housing of the Working Classes Acts.
