In my Report for November, I mentioned that
Dr. Young, the County Medical Officer, came to
Chiswick with the view of discussing this outbreak of
enteric, and after looking carefully into all the details,
all necessary and proper steps were taken.
Enteritis.
Two deaths were registered from this complaint,
compared with five for 1906.
Diseases of the pulmonary organs were responsible
for 74 deaths, against 79 for the previous year.
Diseases of the heart and circulatory organs
accounted for 38 deaths; for 1906 they numbered 60.
Influenza
Was the immediate cause of four deaths, which
occurred during the first quarter of the year. This
complaint has been more or less prevalent during
most months of the year.
Cancer
Caused 28 deaths, compared with 42 for 1906, and
28 for the years 1904 and 1905.
I have arranged a Table giving the locality, age,
and sex of those who have died from this complaint.
