83 persons died between 70 and 80 years of age, 51 between 80 and
90, 6 were over 90—one being 95 and one 96.
INFANT MORTALITY.
The number of Infant deaths under one year of age was 38
giving an infant mortality rate of 71 per thousand births.
It may be useful to give the death rate, infant mortality rate, and birth rate, officially issued as to other places, with those of Bromley added for comparison.

The principal causes of the 38 deaths of Children under one year of
age 10 of which were illegitimate—were :—
Premature birth 12
Pneumonia and Bronchitis 7
Diatrhœa 3
Of the three deaths from diarrhoea, two occurred in September and one
in October, and all were infants under six months of age.
