HOUSING CONDITIONS.
During the year, as a result of visits made under the Housing
Acts, 13 houses were condemned as unfit for human habitation, and
closing orders were made. In the case of 3 houses a demolition
order was made. The houses condemned under Section 17 of the
Housing and Town Planning Act, 1909, as being in "a state so
dangerous or injurious to health as to be unfit for human habitation,"were:—
3 and 4 Lifford's Place, High Street, Barnes;
20 High Street, Mortlake;
Hope Cottage, Vineyard Path, Mortlake;
