GENERAL PROVISION OF HEALTH SERVICES

West Middlesex County Hospital maintains a fleet of ambulances, and an ambulance for infectious
cases is provided by the South Middlesex and Richmond Joint Hospital Board.

The Council contributes to the funds of the Association. Visits were paid by the nurses as follows:—

The work of the Association has been handicapped in recent years by the shortage of nurses.

Prior to the war a cup of tea was provided for the mothers, but this practice has not been resumed.

An increasing number of women are seeking advice in regard to sterility and family spacing. In regard
to the latter they are usually referred to the Hounslow branch of the North Kensington Women's
Welfare Centre.

ARTIFICIAL SUNLIGHT TREATMENT.—This treatment is provided during the winter months at Hounslow and Isleworth Health Centres. The following numbers of children under school age have been treated:—
