In addition to the above, 3 bacteriological milk samples were unsatisfactory.
During the ten years 462 samples have been certified as adulterated and
legal proceedings were taken in 160 cases. In three of these cases the figures
of analysis were disputed and the "third part" was sent to the Government
Chemist. In each case the Government Chemist confirmed my analysis, the
vendor being convicted and paying the cost of the analysis.
928 samples were analysed. Of these 20 or 2.2 percent. were
adulterated.

Table C shows the number of samples of milk examined and the percentages of adulteration during the last ten years.
