103 special midnight and early morning inspections were made by the
Sanitary Inspectors.
The total weight of fruit and vegetables examined at Bishopsgate Goods
Station was 8,590 tons. This was of Belgian, Italian, French and Dutch
origin.
Consignments of Bacon of Hungarian origin were examined at Bishopsgate,
and Eggs and Poultry of Belgian and Italian origin at Spitalfields Goods
Station. It was not found necessary to have any destroyed.
