Pneumonia, Malaria and Dysentery Regulations.
348 cases of Pneumonia and 1 of Malaria were notified under these
Regulations.

The cases occurred in the Districts as follows:—

Ophthalmia Neonatorum.
29 cases were notified, or 9 less than in the previous year. 6 belonged
to the Limehouse District, 6 to St. George-in-the-East, 12 to Mile End Old
Town, and 5 to the Whitechapel District.

1 case was not traced due to false addresses being given to the hospital.
Continued Fever.
1 case was notified belonging to the Whitechapel District. This is the
first case notified in the Borough since 1922.
Polio-Myelitis and Polio-Encephalitis.
1 case was notified which belonging to Mile End, or 2 less than in the
previous year.
Cerebro-spinal Fever or "Spotted" Fever.
9 cases were notified, or 1 more than in the previous year
2 occurred in the Limehouse District, with 1 death.
2 occurred in St. George's District, with 2 deaths.
3 occurred in Mile End Old Town, with 1 death.
2 occurred in the Whitechapel District, with 2 deaths
All were removed to hospital.
The death-rate for the whole Borough was .024 per 1,000 of the population.
