The number of Vehicles belonging to the Hoard at present
in use in my department is as under:
Slop Wagons 10 Carts 2
Dust Wngons 4 Hand Trucks 5
Horse Brooms 2
Horse Scrapers 2 Total 25
To which will shortly be added four additional carts and
four additional wagons.
The following works have been executed in the repairing
and maintaining of the footways in the District:—

New 2£-in. York Stone Paving laid 642 ft. super.
Victoria Stone Paving laid 175 ,, ,,

This does not include work done in restoration after Gas,
Water, and other Companies trenches, nor the work executed
under the head of "Estimated Works."
Carriagkways.
The following works have been executed in the repairing
and maintaining of the Carriageways in the District.
Old Granite Pitching relaid 3,408 yds. super.
Block Channelling refixed 80 ft. lineal.
Lias Lime Concrete 6-ins. thick under Pitching
in Sewer Trenches only 272 yds. super.
Portland Cement Concrete 6-ins. thick under
Pitching in Sewer Trenches 27 ,, ,,
Portland Cement Concrete D ins, thick under
Pitching in Sewer Trenches ,,
Portland Cement Concrete 12-ins. thick under
