The several paragraphs of the above Report were adopted at
a Special Meeting of the Board, held on the 30th June, 1888,
subject to the following alterations:—
The words after the word "Treasurer," in the fifth line of the 3rd
paragraph, to be struck out.
The 4th paragraph to be altered to read as follows:—"That all
cheques be signed by the Chairman of the Board for the time being
and two Members of the Finance Committee, and countersigned
by the Clerk, and that the names of such authorized signatories be
sent annually to the Bankers, with these of the other Members of the
Board."
Tho following words to be added to the 7th paragraph—"and that
the Board pay the neceary premiums."
The Report has been referred to the Finance Committee to
carry out.
In the last Annual Report it was stated that the School Precepts.
Board for London had issued a Precept for the half-year to
Michaelmas only, the valuation lists being incomplete, and
that one for the second-half of the financial year, i.e., to the
25th March last, remained to be issued. The demand for the
second moiety was received in September, 1887, and required
payment of the sum of £5,655 13s. 5d., making a total of
£11,351 11s. 9d. for the financial year. Again this year a
demand for the half-year only has been made, and probably
the calls will continue to be made half-yearly for the future.
The following is a statement of Precepts received and for which
corresponding ones have been issued to the Overseers, viz:—
