The deaths in Christ Church Workhouse amount to 117. It
is necessary to explain that this high rate of mortality is caused by
its being occupied by aged and infirm men, who are drafted there
from other Parishes of the Union. Of the total number who died,
76 were between 60 and 80 years of age, and 17 between 80 and
90.
The following is a statement of all the deaths which occurred
from various causes during the year.
