Occasionally traces of ammonia were present; sulphuretted
hydrogen was never detected.
In my Report of the 19th September, I brought to your notice
the unsatisfactory state of tho cow-houses, and reported that, in
my opinion, they were not adapted for the purposes for which they
were used, nor situated in suitable localities. The matter is of
sufficient importance to render desirable a conference of the various
Sanitary Boards in the metropolis to consider and determine what
rules shall be framed to regulate them.
In conclusion, I beg to invite your perusal of the appended
tables, and also of that which epitomises the Sanitary Works of
your Inspector of Nuisances, and to thank you for the kindness
and courtesy I have uniformly received at your hands.
I remain, Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
ROBERT BIANCHI.
25, Stamford Street,
June, 1878.
