SURVEYOR'S REPORT.
Mr. Chairman and Gentlemen,
In preparing this Account of the Works executed under the directions of the Paving and Sewers
committee, in the year ending Lady Day, 1859. I have adhered to the form adopted in the two preceding years'
Reports, viz.:
That of giving a description of the works performed, and the quantity of material supplied and used in the
two Parishes of the District, respectively.
BOROUGH DIVISION.
The East-end of the Ladye Chapel—A cesspool 10ft. deep, 5ft. diameter, has been made in brick work, and
covered over with proper man-hole frame and cover (to receive the deposit from the gully by
the Cab-stand in Wellington Street), the pipes forming the discharge or overflow have been
connected, and cleared through to the main drain by Montague Close.
Gullies—
Two in Wellington Street have been altered, trapped, or amended as the case required.
One in York Street ditto ditto
House Drainages have been effected by 2 houses in Market Street, and 1 in King Street.
MASON.
1034 feet super. of new 3 inch York or Granite flag Paving
2416 ditto old ditto relaid
229 ditto run Granite Kerb, or old re-dressed and re-set
173 ditto ditto new 12 by 3 York Channel or Iron ditto for footway
PAVIOR.
3124 yards super 9 by 3 Aberdeen Cubes laid and grouted
1853 ditto taken up, re-laid, and grouted
258 feet run 12 by 10 block channel, on concrete and grouted
438 ditto old Kerb channel or tram dressed and re-set
CLINK LIBERTY.
Gullies—
Have been constructed and trapped in the improved form under the footways :

New brick Gully Cesspools trapped and connected to the Sewers, and new gratings put on:
