VESTRY ELECTIONS.
The Annual Election of Members of the Vestry and Auditors
took place, without contests, on the 4th May, 1891.
H.R.H. THE LATE DUKE OF CLARENCE AND AVONDALE,
K.G., K.P.
On the 14th January, 1892, reference was made to the death of
His Royal Highness, and a resolution of sympathy with their Royal
Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Wales was passed, a copy of
the resolution was forwarded to Sir D. M. Probyn, V.C., which was
duly acknowledged by him on behalf of their Royal Highnesses.
THE LATE RT. HON. W. II. SMITH, M.P.
On the 15th October, 1891, the death of Mr. Smith was reported,
and a letter expressive of the Vestry's sympathy was ordered to be
forwarded to Mrs. Smith. A copy of the letter was entered upon
the Minutes on the 29th October, 1891.
DEATH OF A MEMBER OF TIIE VESTRY.
The death of Mr. William Cope was reported on the 29 th October,
1891, and a vote of condolence with Mrs. Cope was passed, which
she subsequently acknowledged.
DEATH OF THE LATE SURVEYOR.
On the 3rd December, 1891, the death of Mr. Henry Jacques
was reported, and a letter expressive of sympathy was ordered to
be forwarded to his family, which was acknowledged by his son.
ASSISTANT OVERSEER OF THE POOR.
On the 30th April, 1891, Mr. Charles Farror Partridge was
appointed to the above office, and on the same day was also
appointed a clerk in the Vestry Clerk's department.
RATE COLLECTOR.
On the 2nd April, 1891, Mr. William Challice was appointed
Collector of the General and Sewers Rates for Ward No. 1.
