On the 26th February, 1891, working drawings, specification
and quantities for the construction of an Underground Chalet at
Charing Cross, were approved, the plans providing the following
accommodation, viz., for men, 12 closets, 28 urinals and 2 lavatories,
and for women, 5 closets and 2 lavatories, at an estimated cost of
£4,646.
HOUSES LET IN LODGINGS, &c.
Monthly inspections of the above houses, which, in 1884,
amounted to 263, but are now reduced to 218 in number, have
been made by the Inspector for that purpose, who has found the
regulations generally complied with. 117 notices have been served
during the year, and the works required to be effected have in all
case been executed.
