The total cost of this work was £15 85., one half of which was
borne by the owner of Nos. 20, 21, 22, White Hart Street, the
sewer having been put in chiefly for the purpose of enabling him
to efficiently drain this property.
bull inn court.
A new 9-inch iron pipe sewer is being constructed by the
Electricity Supply Corporation at their expense in place of the
9-inch stoneware pipe sewer; this is a diversion necessitated by the
extensive alterations now being made to the Electric Light Station.
Provision for (lushing this sewer is being made.
NEW ADMIRALTY OFFICES.
The extensive excavations necessary for the foundations of the
New Admiralty Offices in the rear of the Horse Guards has considerably
interfered with several large sawers running through
St. James's Park.
The necessary diversions have, however, been carried out by
H.M. Office of Works, and the altered lines of the sewers are such
as to in no way interfere with the drainage system of the Parish.
The drainage from the rear of a portion of Spring Gardens has,
however, been cut off, but provision is about to be made for
diverting or reinstating same.
