Note.The Poor Rate for 1889 includes the amount required by the London
County Council and the Library Commissioners of the Parish; the General
Rate includes the amount required by the School Board for London and the
Sewers Rate, an amount of £5,004 9s. 8d. due to the late Metropolitan Board of
Works at the time of their extinction.
CHURCHWARDENS AND SIDESMEN.
On the 25th April, 1889, Mr. William Challice and the Right Hon.
Lord Kinnaird were re-elected Senior and Junior Churchwardens,
Messrs. William Stephens Cross and Robert Walker, Sidesmen to
the Senior Churchwarden, and Messrs. Robert Stokes and Thomas
Prescott, Sidesmen to the Junior Churchwarden.
VESTRY ELECTIONS.
The Annual Election of Members of the Vestry and Auditors for
Ward No. 2, took place on the 6th May, 1889. Polls having been
demanded in Wards Nos. 1 and 3, the elections took place on the
day following.
RESIGNATION OF A MEMBER OF THE VESTRY.
the 28th November, 1889, the resignation of Mr. J. H.
Heathman was submitted and accepted.
DEATII OF MEMBERS OF THE VESTRY.
The deah of Mr. H. Pairpoint was reported on the 25th
July 1889, and on that day a vote of condolence with Mrs. PairPoint
and her family was passed, which was subsequently
acknowledged.
