POOR, GENERAL, SEWERS, AND LIBRARY RATES.
A statement of the above Rates made by the Vestry for the last
10 years is hereunder shown.

Note.— The General Rate includes the amount required by the School
Board for London to meet their Precepts, which, in 188S, was at the rate of about
8d. in the £., and" the Sewers Rate is inclusive of the amount required by the
Metropolitan Board of Works under their Precepts, at the rate of about 8\d. in
the £,.
CHURCHWARDENS AND SIDESMEN.
On the 5th April, 1888, Mr. William Ohallice and the Right Hon.
Lord Kinnaird were respectively elected Senior and [Junior Churchwardens,
and Messrs. William Stephens Cross and Robert Walker,
Sidesmen to the Senior Churchwarden for the then ensuing year,
and, on the 19th April, 1888, Messrs. Robert Stokes and Thomas
Prescott were elected Sidesmen to the Junior Churchwarden for the
like period.
MR. DAVID LAING.
On the 12th July, 1888, an illuminated copy of a resolution and
a silver bowl were presented to Mr. David Laing in recognition of
the exceptional duties performed by him during his tenure of the
office of Churchwarden for a period of three years.
VESTRY ELECTIONS.
The Annual Election of Members of the Vestry and Auditors for
Ward No. 2, took place on the 7th May, 1888. Polls having been
demanded in Wards Nos. 1 and 3, the elections took place on the
day following.
PARISH MAP.
On the 7th February, 1889, instructions were given to the Surveyor
to correct the present Parish Map by showing the alterations
made since its correction in 1855.
