Sanitary Work.
In the year 1886, 107 notices were served upon the owners or
occupiers of property, besides numerous verbal recommendations to
remedy nuisances and sanitary defects. One summons was taken
out against the owner of a house who disregarded the notice served
upon him to perform certain specified sanitary works; the constable
was unable to serve the summons, owing to his inability to find the
