Bakehouses.
The several Bakehouses situated in the Parish have
been duly inspected. Some few I have caused notices
to be served upon the occupiers for the purpose of limewhiting,
etc.
Sanitary Work.
In the year 1880, 85 formal notices were served upon
the owners or occupiers of property, besides numerous
verbal recommendations to remedy sanitary defects.
Legal proceedings were taken in two cases, the owners
or occupiers failing to comply with the terms of the
notices.
In conclusion, I must bear testimony to the willingness,
ability and zeal, displayed by your Inspector in
carrying out my directions, and in drawing my attention
to any nuisance that may come under his notice.
I have the honour to be, Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
JOHN J. SKEGG,
Medical Officer of Health.
29, Craven Street,
September, 1881.
