Sanitary Condition of the Houses in Bedfordbury
and other parts of the Parish," for the perusal of
those Parishioners who may not have had an opportunity
of seeing it.
Sanitary Work.
In the year 1875, 67 notices were served upon
owners or occupiers of property to remedy sanitary
defects. Some of these notices comprised a large
-amount of work to be done. Legal proceedings in four
cases were resorted to, the owners or occupiers failing
to act upon the notices served.
Your Inspector has devoted a great deal of time and
attention to Bedfordbury and its neighbourhood, and
has at all times promptly called my attention to any
nuisance that may have come under his observation.
The several courts and passages in the parish have
been limewhited from time to time. The pipe sewers
have been regularly flushed; also those gullies in the
streets which at times emit offensive effluvia, also
flushed with carbolic acid and water.
I have the honour to be, Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
JOHN J. SKEGG
Medical Officer of Health.
