Parliamentary Measures.
The Vestry has not had occasion to oppose any
proceedings in Parliament during the present Session.
A Committee of Delegates, representing the Parishes
«
and District Boards of the Metropolis, has been
appointed to protect the Ratepayers as regards the
supply of gas. The Committee has held its sittings
from time to time at the Vestry Hall of St. Martin's.
It is expected that a report of the result will be
published shortly after the recess.
Sanitary Measures.
The Medical Officer's Report is attached, showing
the sanitary state of the parish, and the steps taken to
improve it during the past year.
In connection therewith the Vestry have caused
131 notices for abatement of nuisances to be served
during the past year, and 7 summonses have been
issued to compel the inhabitants to abate the nuisances
complained of. In all other cases the notices have
been complied with.
Surveyor's Report.
Under this head, all the works done under the direction
of the Vestry will appear.
