STREET CLEANSING AND dusting.
The street sweeping has been done by
labourers in the employ of the Vestry,
and the cartage, &c., by contract to
the 18th February last, since which
the sweeping, as well as the cartage,
has been executed by contract. The
removal of dust and ashes has also
been performed by contract

street lighting.
Pour additional lamps (one with two burners)
have been lighted, and one discontinued
during the past year. The total number of
public lights at present is 649, of which 611 are
lighted by the Equitable Gas Company,'and 38
by the London G-as Company.
The cost of supply of gas at £3 10s.
