we, the undersigned, being the Auditobs, appointed to audit the accounts of the Vestry
of the parish of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, report, that we have examined the foregoing accounts
of the vestry, relating to the General and Sewers Kate, for the year ending '25th March, 1862,
and certily the name to be correct. We would suggest, that to facilitate the audit, the
General Rate and Sewers Hate accounts should be kept separate at the bankers, that better
eferences be kept in the ledger and index ; also that the fees received by the Surveyor be
paid at once to the blankers, and that the Auditors should check the books every three
months. The balance at the bankers, as stated in the pass-book, was found by us correct.
JOS. HY. GARLANT,
CHARLES COULE, Auditors.
