TO THE CHAIRMAN AND GENTLEMEN OF THE VESTRY
OF THE PARISH OF ST. MARTIN-IN-THE-FIELDS.
Gentlemen,
In compliance with the direction contained in the
198th section of the "Metropolis Local Management Act,”
the 18th and 19th Victoria, cap. 120, I beg to lay before
yon a Report of the Works executed under my direction
during the year ending 25th March, 1861.
Works Executed Chargeable upon the General Rate.

The greater portion of this parish is in the central
district of the Equitable Gas Light Company, who have
supplied the Gas lor the past year, excepting that portion
on the north side of Long Acre, which is supplied by the
London Gas Light Company. Subjoined are given the
amounts paid to each Company, the cost of erecting additional
lamps, and alterations.
