Vestry of the nuisance caused by offensive smells and dust
proceeding from the Electric Light Station in Mason's
Yard, and that the Vestry had been in frequent communication
with the St. James's and Pall Mall Electric
Light Co. on the subject. At the time of issuing last year's
report the annoyance had been sensibly diminished, although

Company pledged themselves to devise a complete remedy

water and steam being found to emanate from the Electric
Light Company's Station in Mason's Yard. In consequence
of these complaints the Vestry have directed proceedings to
be taken against the Company, either at the Police Court
or in the High Court, as they may be advised, with a
view to the abatement of the nuisances in question.
