The cost of the General Repairs, &c., to streets, executed by men in the employ of your Vestry, is as follows:—

The wood paving in George Street was re-laid.
The wood blocks in the centre of Charles Street and in
portions of Piccadilly were taken up, turned over, and
relaid, as far as they would go, by men in the employ of
your Vestry, the deficiency being made up with new wood
blocks.
ASPHALTE CAB RANKS.
At the request of the Police authorities, four asphalte cabstands
were formed in the centre of Pall Mall last October.
The asphalte was laid two inches thick on six inches of
Portland cement concrete.
PITCHED PAVING.
A portion of the pitched paved carriageway of Piccadilly
Circus was taken up and relaid.
