MAIN ROADS.
In pursuance of the resolution adopted at the Conference
of Metropolitan Road Authorities, at Chelsea Town Hall, to
which reference was made in the Vestry's Annual Report for
last year, application has been made to the County Council
to make an order declaring the undermentioned thorough-
fares to be main roads, for the reason slated opposite the
name of each thoroughfare.
The Vestry at the same time
intimated that they would claim to retain the power reserved
to them by the Local Government Act of maintaining and
repairing all streets in this Parish which may be declared to
be main roads:—
