HARRY WILKINS, Vestry Clerk.
July 26th, 1887.
By the terms of the contract, the builder was under
covenant to deliver the building to the Vestry completed on or
before the 31st December, a penalty of £50 per week being
attached to the non-performance of this covenant. Considerable
delay has arisen in the completion of the work, and the
building had not been completed at Lady-day. When the
building has been delivered to the Vestry, the question of
enforcing the penal clauses of the contract will be taken into
consideration.
The premises No. 7, Ingestre Place, were surveyed, and
proved to be substantially built, but in need of considerable
repair to adapt them to modern sanitary requirements. The
subject was under consideration at the close of the year.
A statement of the Accounts of the Trust fund to the 31st
December, 1886, is given on pages 114 and 115
