their charge for maintenance and repair. The Vestry
accordingly requested two of their members to join the
proposed deputation.
A memorial was in due course presented to the Metropolitan
Board of Works, and a clause dealing with the question to
some extent was inserted in a Bill which is being promoted
by the Board in the present session.
